Terms of Service
Last updated: July 20, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Claz, an AI-assisted customs and HS-code classification service operated by an independent sole proprietor (monotributista) registered in Argentina ("Claz", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using Claz on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.
1. The service
Claz lets you submit a product description and receive a suggested tariff classification, including a confidence score, reasoning, and citations to the underlying nomenclature. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
2. Accounts and organizations
You need an account to use Claz. You are responsible for the accuracy of your registration details, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Accounts belong to an organization; the organization's administrators control access, roles, and data within that workspace.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts, or our systems;
- interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service;
- resell, sublicense, or expose the service to third parties except through the API as intended; or
- submit content you do not have the right to submit.
4. Plans, credits, and billing
Claz offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Usage is metered in credits; each classification consumes credits from your organization's balance. Paid plans are billed in advance for the applicable cycle. Prices are shown in USD and may be charged in your local currency equivalent. Orders and payments are processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd), which acts as our Merchant of Record and reseller — Paddle handles billing, payment, and the related buyer support. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. You can change or cancel your plan at any time; a downgrade takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. We may change prices with reasonable prior notice.
5. AI-assisted results
Claz produces assistive classifications generated with AI. Results may be incomplete or incorrect and do not constitute legal, customs, or professional advice. You are solely responsible for verifying any classification before relying on it, and for your customs declarations and regulatory compliance. The final decision and legal responsibility remain with you and your qualified advisors.
6. Your content and data
You retain all rights to the product descriptions, documents, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely to provide and improve the service for you, including sending it to the third-party providers described in our Privacy Policy. Your Content is private to your organization and is not shared with other customers.
7. Intellectual property
The service, including its software, design, and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by the operator of Claz and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding.
8. Third-party services
Claz relies on third-party providers for AI processing, web search, payments, and hosting. Your use of the service may be subject to those providers' terms. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of Claz will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Termination
You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if required to protect the service or comply with law. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends; sections that by their nature should survive will survive.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the competent courts of the City of Buenos Aires (Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires) will have jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
